坚持

最近一段时间,因为谢瑞烛的一个提议,开始了我其实本来也就想做的提高英语的努力。

学习英语的过程非常幸苦,尤其是坚持阅读和写作,需要很大量的时间投入。

晚上基本上就是在这几个课程中度过的。

前几天,本来还有谢瑞烛的微信上的陪伴,而今天,当我突然又一个人,有一种特别不想坚持的冲动。

可是,还是要坚持啊。

 

Adaptive mind

  1. I have an adaptive mind that can always make itself better. It is true that sometimes my self-ego gets in the way, but I always look back and try to make myself better.
  2. I am clean of smoking, HIV, alcoholism. A healthy life style is something not everyone can be blessed with.
  3. Comparing to Chinese overseas 10 years ago, I have internet and especially mobile network that enables me to connect with my family and friends like never before. I am grateful of that when I called my mom yesterday and my mom showed some tendency to have me back to China. I cannot right now, but thanks to internet, we are bonded together like never before.

Chicken soup

  1. I like chicken soup. I am grateful that I can cook it for my girlfriend;
  2. I can breath clean and fresh air when I go running during weekends. This is a luxury that most of my friend in China doesn’t have;
  3. I can still pick up good habits and polish myself into a better person. This can-do attitude is not to be found in most people of my age.

Back to home

It is good.

After four days, I am finally back to the home I always belong to, the place that I live with my beloved girlfriend.

The reason I left is because neither of us could take it anymore – the erectile dysfunction.

I got this problem for a long time. It was less of an issue by the end of last year. It went really bad since we came back from Caribbean trip though.

I feel grateful I can make it back.

Things that I am grateful

From today on, as part of my Slight Edge training, I will write down 3 new grateful things EVERY day to make myself happy.
